Description: DEPO-MEDROL is an anti-inflammatory glucocorticoid for intramuscular, intrasynovial,soft tissue or intralesional injection.

Naturally occurring glucocorticoids (hydrocortisone), which also have salt retaining properties, are used inreplacement therapy in adrenocortical deficiency states. Their synthetic analogs are used primarily for theirpotent anti-inflammatory effects in disorders of many organ systems.Glucocorticoids cause profound and varied metabolic effects. In addition, they modify the body’s immuneresponse to diverse stimuli.As of November, 1990, the formulation for DEPO-MEDROL Sterile Aqueous Suspension was revised.
